Israeli espionage, US sanctions on Iran

This past week the US Senate, at the absolute low ebb of American influence in the world, exposed themselves morally as a toothless bully. Israeli agents drafted the new sanctions against Iran for an America the world voted against at the UN, partially due to our protecting Israel's weapons of mass destruction threat. How I wish this were not true.
Flag of Iran

Netanyahu's revenge began with an attack on Obama's rear, with the US Congress as the cavalry. The 94 to 0 Senate sanctions vote frankly caught me by surprise, which I first read on Press TV. I just had to find out who had organized this 'Congress coup' while the UN vote was going on.

The story source everyone online was using was Foreign Policy magazine, the Cable. Strangely, virtually none of the American TV networks or major newspapers had anything showing up on the Google search. Foreign Policy magazine is run by the Council on Foreign Relations and is VERY close to Israel. I smelled an orchestrated media event on this, and I was right.

We saw a major shift in the Iran news with the heads of the UN and IAEA, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton all stating that they were going to focus on a negotiated settlement to the Iran nuclear issue, but of course never the Israeli nuclear issue, which never seems to be an issue to them.

The Obama administration did not want new sanctions muddying up the waters while trying to begin direct new talks. Getting people to the table is hard enough to begin with. Shooting their dog before you ask never helps.

The Senate vote went down 94 to 0, with a few abstentions. Even the Democratic Senators were all on board. I smelled fear. Only one group can make Congress act like trained circus animals. That is AIPAC and the Israeli Lobby, including those that work for Israeli Intelligence, and there are plenty.

I smelled an orchestrated press roll out here, tightly controlled with the rest of our media being quiet.

This usually means there are key elements to the story that they are hiding, so the Sunday afternoon digging began.
No one writing about the new sanctions had mentioned anything about who drafted the legislation. Again, I smelled a rat. They were hiding that. Israelis always have their proxies draft legislation. It is their way of reminding everybody in Congress who runs the show on their issues, a public display of power.

I finally found Jim Lobe's article on AntiWar.com and he actually did some real journalism. Our thanks to Jim for salvaging a little journalistic honor in this sordid story. Here was his big quote:

QUOTE

"What the sanctions say to Iran is that we’re going to bring down your economy …and we’re going to do it fast," Mark Dubowitz, director of the Likudist
Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) who has drafted much of the sanctions legislation, told ‘Congressional Quarterly’ this week.

I knew I was only a few keystrokes away from the Israeli connection. The FDD is one of numerous front groups set up to push Israeli policies in America. They pick out high sounding names like the one above and recruit big name ex-administration people, in this case ex-CIA director James Woolsey to make themselves above reproach as a cover. It's a good one, and it works very well.

They [FDD] often recruit these people while they are in government where they can be assets for them, and pay them later with these think tank jobs. It is very common unfortunately. Even Congressman do it.
If you look through the FDD people at their website, you find some of the old Iran-Contra gang, hardliners like Richard Perle, Michael Leeden, Bud McFarlane, etc. These are the people who brought us the pre-emptive strike defense doctrine. They mix the old guys up with the younger ones, and those who are active espionage people have a smokescreen around them.

The pathway I have just described is just one of the fingers of Israel's offensive political espionage against America. But it is the least known as our media and academia are afraid to whisper a word about it. They have strings on them, also.

Our counter intelligence people are humiliated by being reduced to only trying to monitor what they are doing. But they are not allowed to take espionage cases to a grand jury because these organizations have what we call 'protected entities' on their boards. They simply can't be prosecuted. This is an American national scandal, just one slice of it.

Ex-CIA James Woolsey is despised by the Intel old timers. His most recent disgrace was becoming a front man for the Free Jonathan Pollard movement. Pollard was an Israeli spy, working for Israel who was tasked mainly with getting material for Israel to sell to the Soviets.

With another spy in the White House steering him he passed on the CIA's entire East European network, where eventually over 1,000 agents and assets were killed. This disaster has always been hidden from the American people, and only ever published in Veterans Today.

The Israelis also had Pollard get what we call 'first strike' material, which would have put the Soviets in a position to more safely launch an initial nuclear strike on America. That was our friend Israel. Woolsey must know all this, and shamed the agency by wanting Pollard freed. He should have been executed.

The justification pitch with the Senate move was that the new sanctions would put Obama in a better position to negotiate with the Iranians. But they did not seem to care that Obama and Hillary disagreed entirely.

The Israeli agents who had carried this legislation to sweeping passage do not want a settlement. They want to aggravate the conservatives in Iran to the extent that a negotiated settlement cannot be reached so they can be in a better position to push for the war option. They can then say that they gave Iran their last chance, and left them no choice.

But there is a sub-plot in play here. The sanctions are not working as presented to us and that is not being covered in American media. They are actually hurting American and European long-term interests. Press TV has been publishing for many weeks how they have an intense domestic effort ongoing to internally produce most of the critical things that they need, starting with defensive weaponry.

They have also been diversifying their energy development for export, with major expansions on their electricity exports, even to American allies like Iraq and Afghanistan. They will also be completing major pipeline expansions to Pakistan.

Another gas pipeline project is in the works to go through Iraq, into Syria, and Lebanon to an export port, and one branch through Turkey up to Austria so the Europeans will not be so dependent on the Russian supplies.

These accomplishments are not being curtailed or stopped by sanctions, but are directly the RESULT of the sanctions. As Iran is forced to maximize its internal production, their markets will be lost to those products formally imported from Western countries.

Other countries and trading blocs will follow suit in protecting themselves from sanction abuse by the bully brigade. To use an old phrase, 'those jobs will be gone forever', and Americans can thank their war monger elements and the Israeli 5th column for that. Europe will also lose export jobs permanently.

The other revelation in the new sanctions penalized individuals selling or supplying commodities such as graphite, aluminum and steel to Iran that is needed for ship building and nuclear operations. But of course these items are used in thousands of items. Would they sanction the air next?

These items are key to one of the real purposes of these new sanctions, other than to make a negotiated settlement harder. They were passed to disrupt the energy export diversification exports to nearby countries who will become long-term customers and close those markets off to US and Israeli business interests, forever.
So we are back to World War I days where the elites are playing all the rest of us like pawns. They use these hyped up and fake external threats to have us all fall in line to save our skins, when our own people are skinning us alive.

And yes, Israeli companies are very involved with some of the Caucuses pipeline deals and hoping to lay claim to Mediterranean petro fields which they plan to steal and use their WMD to do so if necessary.

It's not the phony nuclear threat that really concerns them. They just want to keep Iranian energy off the market to keep prices high while they are developing other sources that they profit from. They are robbing us while robbing the Iranians.
Americans are going to have to wake up to all of this and quickly. Israeli espionage penetration of our Congress is in its late stage. As long as our Congress is occupied by the Israeli Lobby shills, traditional Americans will be second class citizens in their own country. Jamal Abdi knows”

QUOTE
"With every new sanctions bill that Congress passes, the president’s flexibility is reduced, and doubts solidify about whether sanctions can ever be leveraged for a diplomatic deal," noted Jamal Abdi, policy director of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC).
"This is what we saw happen with Iraq in the 1990s. Unbending sanctions do not buttress negotiations; they make diplomacy impossible and war inevitable."

Palestinian UN status could not be blocked

By Jim Dean
Despite all of Israel's threats of 100% aid cut offs, collected taxes not remitted, and refusing to discuss a peace settlement or their WMD programs, Palestinian UN status is marching forward. The future is on its side, and not on Israel's.

The Security Council could not block the non-member status vote, which certainly passed. The Israelis are retreating to their second line of defense and have revealed for all to see a long time Achilles heel, a possible fatal one.

We got a clue “today”, not really a surprise, that Britain would back the non-member status which allows bringing cases to the criminal court, IF Abbas agrees to relinquish the right to do so. I am not making this up.

Britain wants to make an already very limited UN standing on an almost empty one, which would just be another Palestinian leadership humiliation the Israelis love doing so much. The Likuds don't want to see a stream of Israeli political and military leaders in the dock for crimes against humanity.

It is a legitimate fear as they are more than guilty. Having been a terrorist was a big resume enhancer for Israeli politicians for decades...Golda Meir, Begin, Shamir, Sharon. In fact this is Israelis' key issue now. They are desperate to try to ensure that the Palestinians do not have that ICC card to play.

Even though Abbas has even agreed not to make an ICC bid for six months, the Israelis are shaking. Let's take a look at the feints and threats that have been put into play.

First, if the Palestinians get the UN observer status they want, membership in the ICC is not guaranteed. It must be applied for by a 'state'. In a situation with some grey areas about what is a state, the UN membership is to be consulted. That could be a majority vote, and maybe not. But I would bet my money that they would get in.

Many of the world's Intel people will be most helpful to the court I can assure you, as it will be payback time for all the nasties that Israel has inflicted on so many for so many years.

Why are the US, Britain, and Germany so concerned with running interference for Israel to protect them from the ICC? Is it because they fear that Israel could tell tales that these countries supported events for which the Israelis were being charged, and find themselves in the dock, also?

One certain event would be the US involvement in the 1967 war. It is widely known in the retired Intel community that the US was involved in the planning and participated in the war on the side of the Israelis. It was done as part of a Cold War move on the Soviets where Johnson was trying to get the public's focus off of the Vietnam debacle. He was desperate to save his presidency and the Israelis smelled blood in the water.

The Israelis suckered Johnson into a pretended short war to take out all the Soviet armor and planes on the Egyptian front. But the Israelis pulled a fast one, planning to hit Jordan and Syria, also. The USS Liberty had to be taken out as it would have intercepted the major troop and armor formations moves to pull it off.

Americans participated in the ghost signals net left on the Egyptian front to pretend that the Israeli divisions were still there, facing the Egyptians. Some of our Air Force people were forced to fly post attack air recon for damage assessment missions over the Egyptian front. The photos even appeared in Life Magazine.

People in the photo Intel business knew that the Israelis did not have that capacity at the time. We did. This is probably still classified but you can read most of it in Operation Cyanide, by British author Peter Hounan, a fabulous book.
US participation in the '67 war was illegal of course, and this is why the Johnson administration could do nothing to punish the Israelis, and he humiliated the Navy by forcing them to rig the naval inquiry to confirm the accident version. It was an act of treason for those involved. Our current Senator John McCain's father, Admiral McCain did the dirty work, something that seems to have run in the family.

Next up, we had the Mid East de-nuclearization conference postponed last week. We hear that Israel did not want to attend because the arrangements were not in place where everyone would pretend that Israel's WMD programs not only would not be discussed but did not exist. The US State Department was once again running interference for Israel, thus making us a continuing co-conspirator in their illegal WDM stockpiles.

Once again we have America throwing its credibility out the window before such an important conference even gets started, The only card the poor taxpayers have to play at the end of the day is paying for everything, indentured servitude to Israel, with a twist of Talmud thrown in.

Let's fast forward to the most recent threats, or what might be termed 'bullying' toward the Palestinians. The US had already cut off some of the West Bank funding after the 2011 UN bid, and has threatened to cut off the USD 300 million currently given. Israel has threatened to withhold collected taxes to starve out the Palestinian Authority.
That's just the money squeeze. It gets worse. Israel has played a legal card. Are you sitting down? Lior Ben Dor, the Israeli foreign ministry spokesman has said that the Abbas UN bid would be a breach of the Oslo Accords!! Mind you, this legalism card is being played by those who invaded the country and ethnically cleansed it to provide what the Nazis called 'lebensraum' (growing space) for all the world's Jews that the Zios were anticipating moving to Israel.

I have saved the best (or the worst) for last. Yes...the Liduds have threatened sanctions on the destitute Palestinians, that if cases were brought to the ICC they would consider more drastic steps. It's dramatic pause time to let that sink in a bit.

They made a big mistake here, the Israelis. They mentioned the 'S' word, sanctions, as in imposing them unilaterally. If I had been advising the Israelis, I would have told them to not dare mention sanctions because, heaven forbid, someone might suggest, “Hey, why don't we impose sanctions on the Israel for a whole bunch of things that they have done.”

The list is long and their WMD programs should be right at the top. The US would be caught in a snare as they are not supposed to provide aid to such states, Pakistan being the other exception. We now have on the table one of the main goals of Israeli Lobbies in the major western countries, to see to it that any movement toward sanctions on Israel would trigger their political terrorism brigades to nip that in the bud.

So a lot of cards are in play here. We have crimes against humanity cases ready to go to the ICC, Israelis holding out participating in any de-nuclearization conferences without agreement that Israeli WMD will not be discussed, and the settlements continuing to be built while they drag peace negotiations on for years. And the Israelis want to starve the Palestinians while doing this.

Why should the rest of us endure all that? Why not just do the crimes against humanity and the sanctions going at the same time, and cut off all US aid as being illegal. If the Israelis think this is a cool thing to do, let's just do it to them.

But I am not done yet. Why not also refer to the ICC war crimes cases another pile of the names of all those who aided and abetted in these Israeli crimes. We have the Nuremberg precedent to go after Quislings. We have plenty of them here in America and getting a good list together could be done overnight.

American policy with Israel has been bankrupt for many decades. It never has been in America's interest, and never will be. Just the declassified material alone on the relationship is shocking, but few ever read it. Steven Green's 1983 book, Taking Sides, is a good place to start. The classified material is even worse, which is why they hide it from the American people.

Yes, sanctions against Israel. It's the right time. We can always tell them we never would have thought of it if they had not brought it up to use against the poor Palestinians. And it would not be cruel either, as we would be saving Judaism from the Radical Zionists. And after sanctions, comes you know what....Reparations!!! We already have a template that we can use from you know who.

Brzezinski to US: Stop following Israel like a stupid mule

By Kevin Barrett
Leading US strategist Zbigniew Brzezinski, unofficial dean of the realist school of American foreign policy experts, has drawn an unflattering picture of US-Israel relations.

In a speech to the National Iranian American Council, Brzezinski said, “I don’t think there is an implicit obligation for the United States to follow like a stupid mule whatever the Israelis do. If they decide to start a war, simply on the assumption that we’ll automatically be drawn into it, I think it is the obligation of friendship to say, ‘you’re not going to be making national decision for us.’ I think that the United States has the right to have its own national security policy.”
Zbigniew Brzezinski
By denying any US "obligation" to "follow like a stupid mule whatever the Israelis do," Brzezinski accurately implied that this is exactly what the US has been doing up until now. And by plaintively opining that "the United States has the right to have its own national security policy," the former National Security Adviser underlined the fact that since the assassination of John F. Kennedy, who secretly went to war with Ben Gurion in a doomed effort to abort the Israeli nuclear weapons program, the US has not enjoyed that right.

Brzezinski's assertion that the US is being led by the nose like a stupid mule by the Israelis is perhaps the most candid statement of its kind ever uttered in public by a high-level US strategist. Brzezinski's remarks reflect the mainstreaming of the arguments presented by leading US political scientists Walt and Mearsheimer in their book The Israel Lobby.

Indeed, Brzezinski has gone much further than Walt and Mearsheimer, who couch their critique of the tail-wags-the-dog US-Israel relationship in extremely cautious language. By laying it out so explicitly, Brzezinski is in effect joining the ranks of such scholars as James Petras and Grant Smith, who leave Walt and Mearsheimer in the dust as they boldly and accurately describe the outrageous, destructive, and quite literally criminal Israeli domination of the US (As Smith argues in Foreign Agents, the hundreds of thousands of members of the Zionist Power Configuration described by Petras are acting as unregistered agents of a foreign power; if the law were properly enforced, they would all be in prison.).
The strong words from Brzezinski, and the mainstreaming of similar sentiments, illustrate a growing backlash against Israel's ever-more-shameless, ever-more poorly concealed domination of the USA. The post-9/11 era has witnessed a rash of unbelievably arrogant Israeli actions, including:

* Benjamin Netanyahu's reaction to 9/11 (He triumphantly chortled that 9/11 was "very good," then hastily added that he meant it was very good for Israel.).

* Ariel Sharon's reaction to 9/11, "We Jews control America, and the Americans know it."

* Allegedly retired Mossad chief spook Mike Harari's huge victory party in Bangkok, Thailand celebrating the success of the 9/11 operation.

* The actions of newly-retired Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Barak, Christopher Bollyn's top 9/11 suspect, had come to the US for mysterious reasons after stepping down as PM in March 2001, and immediately after 9/11 all but ordered the US to declare a "war on terror" and invade Afghanistan and other countries - making him the first public figure to describe the "war on terror" response to 9/11.

* The Israel lobby's demolition of the Congressional career of 9/11-truth-seeker Rep. Cynthia McKinney.

* The Israel lobby's persecution of American Muslims including Sami al-Arian, who was imprisoned and tortured for the "terrorist" crime of supporting the Palestinians' right to defend themselves.

* The Israel lobby's persecution of Christian peacemaker Mark Siljander, who was sent to prison on trumped-up charges for the crime of telling other Christians the truth about Islam, and thereby undermining the Israeli's islamophobic "war on terror" narrative.

* The Israel lobby's increasing use of its organized crime assets to dominate American politics through blackmail, fraud, drug trafficking, money laundering, assassination, and other crimes.

* Israel's blatant intervention in US elections, including its use of organized crime in vote-fraud efforts - which may finally have failed in 2012 when Netanyahu imploded at the UN, and his hand-picked puppet Mitt Romney imploded in the final election results.

*Israel's ongoing attempts to drag the US into wars-for-Israel that damage US interests - including wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Pakistan and elsewhere, as well as Israel's proposed attack on Iran.

*And finally, of course, Israel's ever-more-arrogant refusal to do what the US and every other country on earth insists it must do: Return to its pre-1967 borders and make peace with its neighbors.

Is the "stupid American mule" described by Brzezinski finally waking up?

Or, to use Anatole Lieven's animal metaphor, Is the dog finally noticing that "this is not a case of the tail wagging the dog, but of the tail wagging the unfortunate dog around the room and banging its head against the ceiling”?

4 Digital Threats to Worry About

By Eugene Kaspersky
1. Privacy violations: Internet privacy is dwindling. Every purchase you make, flight you take, website you view, file you download, person you call, and email you send is tracked, and these profiles are then stored indefinitely and often sold to the highest bidders -- whoever they may be. Personal data long thought to be confidential simply isn't anymore. Consider your identity while walking down the street. Facial recognition technology has passed from law enforcement to the public realm -- Facebook uses it in many countries, gathering data from images to recognize you (unless you know to opt out of the feature). That's a violation of your right to privacy, right? Wrong. And who's to say Facebook's photo database, growing by several billion photos a month, won't be handed over to law enforcement agencies or corporations in the future?

2. Cybercrime: Cybercrime knows no boundaries. It allows criminals working from the other side of the planet to evade detection and confound law enforcement agencies that must work within their narrow jurisdictions. And it's massively expensive: The global cost of cybercrime has been estimated as high as $1 trillion a year, roughly on par with the international drug trade, according to the European Union. You might not think phishing and spam could result in physical harm and death -- but they can. In July 2011, a Japanese woman died after taking a prescription diet drug she had bought over the Internet. The drug arrived from Thailand and contained an undisclosed ingredient -- a controlled substance linked to heart failure. Fortunately, governments around the world have at last started addressing this issue. National cyberpolice units are set to increase in number, size, and funding, and the United Nations has a group devoted to this threat.

3. Cyberwarfare: The most destructive advanced malicious programs discovered so far -- Stuxnet, Duqu, Flame, and Gauss -- have actually been relatively benign, in that they haven't directly caused human casualties. The next time we hear of an act of cyberwar, however, it could be accompanied by a death toll. That's because cyberattacks have unpredictable side effects. The world's electronic infrastructure has become so interconnected that damage to a single target can quickly spread all around the world, even if by mistake. U.S. officials are rightly afraid of a weapon of mass destruction falling into the wrong hands. But they should also worry about the far more likely event of terrorists acquiring a cyberweapon. A simple slip-up could make it possible for anyone to steal, copy, or adapt a supposedly secret cyberweapon, turning it against its creators.

4. Hacktivism: The merger of hacking and political activism can wreak enormous havoc. Hacker groups such as Anonymous and LulzSec have been involved in security breaches of networks belonging to the United Nations, the CIA, and multiple security contractors, not to mention banks and major software vendors. They're also becoming even more dangerous. Hacktivists' goals used to be limited to stealing information or defacing a website, but now they are moving on. This August, for the first time ever, unknown hacktivists used malware to infect Saudi Aramco's network and destroy, the oil company claims, 30,000 computers. This is a very ominous precedent.
