Israel’s race toward World War III

By Gordon Duff

Events are racing forward, events real reporting might stop. Instead, the world’s news media spews fiction, press releases and hate mongering. If history is repeating itself, as it so often has, we are watching a plan take shape, one devised in Tel Aviv, making use of “assets” around the world, meant to culminate in orchestrated “false flag” terror attacks which Israeli influence in the media, vast influence, can use to create an atmosphere enabling an attack on Iran by the United States.
Benjamin Nyetanyahu
Such an attack would be, not only a war crime, but, were there careful investigations, we already bask in thousands of “unprosecuted” war crimes already, “war though sanction based on wild conspiracy theory,” Obama’s part in this, and the endless plots by puppet regimes throughout the Middle East, some in need of an external war to prevent their own overthrow by freedom loving citizens who have “had enough” of dictatorship.

Iran has been a target for years, almost reminding me of British author H. G. Well’s book, War of the Worlds. One quote comes to mind from Chapter 1:

"The eve of the war

No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency men went to and fro over this globe about their little affairs, serene in their assurance of their empire over matter…No one gave a thought to the older worlds of space as sources of human danger, or thought of them only to dismiss the idea of life upon them as impossible or improbable…Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us."

Wells could well have been talking of today with Iran the target of those “intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic,” those who “regarded earth (Iran) with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us."

However, Israel or even the US or NATO are not alone in their envy and malice. We are talking Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain but the list can be a longer one.

It begins:

Sunday night, US Secretary of State Clinton, America’s top diplomat, was attacked. Her convoy was approached by a white Citroen DS5 with multiple armed gunmen in body armor and using automatic weapons of heavy caliber.

Clinton was traveling from Tel Aviv to al Quds (Jerusalem). US diplomatic security is very high, an escort with at least one Apache Helicopter. Clinton was in particular danger. She had been under attack in the US by extremists for having a Muslim on her staff.

Huma Albedin, her chief of staff, was accused by Rep. Michelle Bachmann and a small group of Republicans of ties to terror organizations and that Clinton was, herself, an “anti-Israeli terrorist.” The claims, when examined in detail by CNN’s Andersen Cooper, were debunked as wild conspiracy theory.
Washington insiders believe the Clinton assassination try was partially caused by over-reaction to these tales of Clinton’s imaginary Muslim spy organization and the current “meltdown” in Israeli politics. Violence and assassination inside Israel is now and has always been “the norm.”

Back in the US, Bachmann, herself, is seen by most Americans as an icon of ignorance, fanaticism and outright lying. That same night, the HBO drama, Network, a popular TV series about lack of quality in news reporting, actually called Bachman and her political associates “liars” in front of a massive international audience. All are “friends of Israel” or, perhaps, a bit more than friends.

“Network” is a “sign” that Americans have “had enough” also. Many hope that this new, powerful medium of rationality takes on wider issues and eventually “debunks” the misreporting of Iran’s nuclear energy programs. We will wait and watch.

The attacks, Israel and Bulgaria

The Clinton attack, though on Israeli radio and in an initial report from Reuters was silence, intercepted by Al Alam in Iran but suppressed everywhere else. Had she been killed, Iran would have been immediately blamed, a “Hezbollah” attack, the same claim Israel is making about the attack in Bulgaria earlier in the week.

This, in itself is more than curious. Within moments of the Thursday attack, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu blamed Iran. He had no information whatsoever, he simply started speaking, making it up as he went along. He does that.
For intelligence experts, real questions come to mind. Those who travel in Bulgaria know how much surveillance there is. There is a video of the attack because, in Bulgaria, everything is on video, security is as tight as North Korea and nobody travels without “minders.”

Yet, low and behold, a “big name terrorist” who had been in “Gitmo,” Mehdi Ghadi, with passport, drivers license, just like the magic pristine terrorist passport, the only 9/11 “evidence,” was there when needed.

Those onsite in Bulgaria have a different story. They claim one bus caught fire after an explosion and then two others began burning, 3 out of the 5 buses. This means the cover story was wrong and because a 3 bus attack failed, a much bigger event that might have been enough to “justify” a military response against an unproven enemy, the basis of the American “Global War on Terror,” the story was scaled back with lies.

Thus, Netanyahu was left with 5 dead Israeli’s instead of 50 or 80, and forced to sell his side of the story, the mysterious evidence left at the scene, spending credibility Netanyahu no longer has.

Prediction and coincidence
When too many things happen during a critical but short period of time, the term “coincidence” is used less and the term “orchestrated,” at least by those who are trained to recognize “patterns” is the operable assumption.

As the Persian Gulf awaits a new American carrier battle group based around the massive USS Stennis and the region begins to fill with military buildup, some publicly announced, some less public, North Korean submarines sited off Diego Garcia, naval vessels of all flags appearing by magic, the probability of an “incident” leading to a major war increases exponentially.

Behind this, the London Olympics of 2012, secured by an Israeli company under broad criticism for poor performance, perhaps the understatement of all time, sits vulnerable to terrorist attack, an attack tied more to “orchestration” and, yes, “coincidence” meant to serve Israeli interests, not those of any terror group, real or more likely “imagined” or “invented.”

Certainly, there is no rationale for Iran to wish for any confrontation.

However, “confrontation” seems to be the direction things are heading toward, every sign is there. Accusations regarding Iran and the Bulgaria incident began before the fires had been fully “misreported” and the phony evidence planted.

Netanyahu began lying early, he has to work on that. His “timing” and skills are no longer capable of “charming” crowds. There are too many American families that look to Israel when counting their dead from wars we now know were unnecessary.

We now only wait for something else to be sacrificed, a club filled with Americans in Bahrain, an American ship hitting a mine or accidentally in the path of an Israeli torpedo, you decide, such an incident is more than probable.

What we do recognize is the frantic nature of the last week. Israel is in political meltdown. Egypt’s military is asked to step down, making that Israeli controlled faction a useless asset and exposing Israel to increased “accountability” for Gaza.

Inside Israel we smell panic and fear, not fear of war or terrorism, but fear that plots for manipulation of nearby states are failing, fear that their secret allies, the Saudis will fall and the new government may not be one of the factions controlled by Israel.

Israel believes an attack on Iran can provide “cover” for them to help put things “right,” regain control. Then again, no one ever admits that control existed, control of the US congress, the world press or more than a few Middle Eastern governments and much of the failed financial system that has brought about the worldwide currency meltdowns.

Long ago, I learned to establish litmus for Middle East and “terrorism” reporting. If Israel is not mentioned in the first paragraph, the writer is “Israel.”

After all, you cannot discuss a circus without mentioning the elephant.
